Techniques Edit

  • Flight – The ability to fly with the use of ki.
  • Ki Blast – The most basic form of energy wave. He can fire them in the form of multiple razor shards of energy to create wounds so that he can enter a body through.
  • Kamehameha – Used by Gohan when possessed by Baby. It is blue in Baby Gohan's first usage, but seems to turn pink in color later on. The technique appears to defeat Piccolo in a single strike.
    • Super Kamehameha – An upgraded version of the Kamehameha. Cell uses it against Goku during their match in the Cell Games.
      • Earth-Destroying Kamehameha – A much more powerful version of the Super Kamehameha. Used in a desperate attempt to destroy the Earth against Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. However, Gohan counter-attacked with the Ultimate Kamehameha.
      • Solar Kamehameha – Super Perfect Cell's Ultimate and Final attack. Cell stores a massive amount of energy and fires it in the form of a giant Kamehameha that, which he states himself, has enough power to destroy the entire solar system.[3] It was created and used by Super Perfect Cell as a final bid to destroy Gohan, but was countered by the Father-Son Kamehameha. Its name comes from Budokai Tenkaichi 3, where it is Super Perfect Cell's Ultimate Blast technique. In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse it is named Perfect Kamehameha and is one of Perfect Cell's Ultimate Skills.
      • Father-Son Kamehameha - In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, in the altered history of the Cell Games, Dark Cell along with two of his Dark Cell Juniors uses this technique to overwhelm SSJ Gohan's Super Kamehameha (Gohan is unable to use the technique as Goku is still alive yet weakened and unable to provide spiritual assistance to Gohan) killing him.
    • Warp Kamehameha – Cell's ultimate technique in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai. When using it, he utters the words "Farewell... NOW!".
  • Afterimage Technique – The ability to move swiftly enough that an image of its user is left behind.
  • Destructo Disc – A razor-sharp disk of ki used against Uub.
    • Chain Destructo Disc – One of Semi-Perfect Cell's special techniques in the Nintendo DS game Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2. Originally used by Krillin.
    • Death Saucer – A variant of the Destructo Disc, this energy disk can be controlled by the creator to change direction. Taken from Frieza (Anime only).
  • Final Flash – A technique Baby Vegeta uses against Goku and Uub. In the Japanese dub, when he performs the Final Flash, he declares "Big Bang Attack" launching the blast. In the FUNimation dub, this was changed to Baby calling out "Final Flash" (possibly to avoid the confusion experienced with the Japanese dub, coupled with the fact that FUNimation Entertainment's dubs have never used the words "Big Bang Attack"). It is called "Final Flash" in his first two forms in Budokai Tenkaichi series, but "Big Bang Attack" in his third form. It is also correctly called in Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World.
  • Big Bang Attack – He performs it regularly in Infinite World.
  • Revenge Death Ball – A technique used by Baby Vegeta. It is a large black ball of ki that would have killed Goku had Supreme Kai not rescued him at the last minute. This technique is similar to the Spirit Bomb, as Baby has to draw energy from his slaves in order to use it. However, this accumulation of power is only needed once, with the power being evidently stored within Baby Vegeta's body, as he is able to generate it at will upon each subsequent use.
  • Galick Gun – A fuchsia-colored, powerful energy blast taken from Vegeta. Used in the anime and in the Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast games.
    • Super Galick Gun – Great Ape Baby's full-powered variation of Vegeta's Galick Gun, capable of destroying an entire planet if appropriately charged. Baby uses the Super Galick Gun while Vegeta's body is in the Golden Great Ape transformation.
  • Flaming Death Ball – A Revenge Death Ball coated in a flaming layer.
  • Eraser Cannon – Broly's signature attack, it is a powerful, green energy sphere. It is also known as the Blaster Shell in the Budokai series.
    • Omega Blaster – A far more powerful version of the Eraser Cannon technique demonstrated in Broly - Second Coming, which begins as a small green sphere and immensely expands when in contact with a solid object, alternatively known as the Gigantic Meteor. It holds the power of seriously damaging planets or destroying them outright. Named in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it is also called Gigantic Meteor (in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 and Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World), and Throwing Blaster (in Budokai Tenkaichi 1).
  • Regeneration/Healing Factor – Broly is shown to have an enhanced healing factor compared to normal Saiyans. As a baby he quickly healed from being stabbed through the stomach, after "exploding" from energy at the end of his first appearance he managed to heal his own wounds quickly, and after having his heart the rest of his body explode when he was forced into the sun at the end of his second appearance he managed to regenerate and gain a Zenkai, attaining a Super Saiyan 3 form.
  • Zenkai – From his Saiyan cells, Cell has the ability to become more powerful after recovering from severe injuries. This genetic trait that allows his combat prowess to continually increase as he fights. This is done by instinctively imprinting on new experiences to lessen the chances of same injury happening again and likewise dramatically increasing his raw might and resilience after recovering from injuries.  This ability, combined with his regeneration power, makes him near invincible. He also takes on many personality traits that are true to Saiyans, like the desire to fight. Even though Cell is not categorized as a Super Saiyan, his aura perfectly mimics that of a Super Saiyan; this is connected to his Saiyan heritage.
  • Solar Flare – An extremely bright light which can temporarily blind opponents in near proximity. Inherited from Tien.
  • Tail Attack – Cell can attack his opponents using his powerful tail.
  • Light Grenade – One of Semi-Perfect Cell's special techniques in Supersonic Warriors 2. Originally used by Piccolo.
  • Death Beam – A laser-like projectile which travels very quickly. Taken from Frieza.
    • Death Bullet – A single small burst of energy that is usually used as part of the Crazy Finger Beam technique. Named in Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit.
      • Full Power Death Bullet – A powerful finger blast shot from the index finger. Named in the video game Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, where it is used by Frieza in his third form.
      • Finger Beam – Two beams shot at the same time from the index fingers on each hand. Named in the Raging Blast games and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, where it is used by Frieza in his third form.
      • Crazy Finger Beam – An incredibly fast burst which explodes at a location Frieza points to. He uses this ability many times in rapid succession after transforming into this third form to quickly attack Piccolo.
    • Barrage Death Beam – A rapid-fire version of the Death Beam. Cell uses it against Gohan.
      • Death Counter – A technique where Golden Frieza fires an incredibly fast long-range Death Beam. The attack fires like a gatling gun. Named in Zenkai Battle Royale.
    • Death Laser – An alternate version of the Death Beam used by Frieza in the anime only.
    • Golden Death Beam – The most powerful version of the Death Beam, used by Golden Frieza during his battle with Goku in Dragon Ball Super.
      • Emperor's Death Beam – The most powerful version of the Barrage Death Beam, used by Golden Frieza against Super Saiyan Blue Goku. Named in Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
    • Perfect Death Beam – A full powered version of the Death Beam, with a much bigger radius. He uses this attack to kill Future Trunks.
  • Instant Transmission – The ability to instantly teleport virtually anywhere (by homing in on a ki signature). Taken from Goku after Cell's self-destruction.

Spirit Bomb – Cell never uses the Spirit Bomb in the manga or anime series, though he states that he can use it if he wished. This technique is Cell's ultimate attack in his Perfect Form in the Butōden series, Budokai series and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (while under his Super Perfect form). In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, Cell can use both the Spirit Bomb as one of his Super Skills and Super Spirit Bomb as one of his Ultimate Skills. When performing the Spirit Bomb in Xenoverse, Cell will exclaim "I told you I could do it if I wanted too!".

  • Super Spirit Bomb - A powerful version of the Spirit Bomb, used by Cell in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse.
  • Multi-Form – Used by Cell during the fight with Goku in the anime only, this technique is one of Tien's. The technique creates three fighting copies of the user, and since Cell has perfected it they all possess equal power to the original.
  • Tri-Beam – A blast of rectangular energy. Taken from Tien (Anime only).
  • Special Beam Cannon - Piccolo's swirling energy beam technique that can drill through nearly everything. Only used in anime-filler and video games. One of Cell's Ultimate Skills in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse.
  • Death Ball – One of Frieza's signature techniques, Cell is capable of using it in Dragon Ball Fusions.
    • Supernova – Cell is capable of using this enhanced version of the Death Ball technique. Used by Perfect Cell in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse in his second skill set. When preformed in Xenoverse Cell will say "Here's a little Frieza ditty".
    • 100% Death Ball – An enormous pink energy sphere covered with electricity which is thrown at Goku while he is underwater during their battle on Namek. Though Goku is able to punch it into space, it still hits another planet, destroying it faster than any other planet destroyed by Frieza in the series. This attack was never used in the manga.
    • Golden Death Ball – The more powerful version of the Death Ball, used by Frieza against Goku in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection "F". Named in Dragon Ball Heroes.
      • Dark Death Ball – A more powerful version of the Death Ball used by Xeno Frieza (fused with Dark Dragon Ball).
  • Earth Breaker – A final desperation attack used by Frieza to detonate the planet he is on. Used in Resurrection ‘F’ to destroy Earth. Named in Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale.
  • Ki Sense – At the time of the Battle on Namek, like the rest of his minions, who use scouters as a compromise, Frieza seems to be unable to sense the ki of other people. However, he is able to have a glimpse of a "powerful Saiyan developing and heading to Namek" before the person in question (Goku) actually appeared in front of him. Also, given enough time, Frieza can lock his senses and his mind onto his opponent to read his/her position at any given moment; he demonstrates this when he begins fighting Goku with 50% of his power. In Shin Budokai, Frieza gains the ability to sense ki and suppress his own ki, and he also displays the ability in Dragon Ball GT.
    • God ki sense – Frieza is able to sense ki after his four months of training in the Resurrection ‘F’ Saga, as he notes that he can sense Super Saiyan Blue Goku's power, and feels that it is less than his.
