Mario Mario is the whimsical plumber of the Mushroom Kingdom, who time and time against rescues Princess Peach Toadstool from the tyrannical King Bowser Koopa, usually with the assistance of his twin brother, Luigi. His adventures began at an early age, with the Stork carrying him being ambushed by Kamek the magikoopa, causing him to plummet to Yoshi's Island, where he was discovered by a tribe of dinosaurs known as yoshis (not to be confused with the character, Yoshi). Rescuing his brother and the stork from the Koopa Troop, it was later discovered that he was a Star Child, a group of seven who were destined for great things. Years later, entering adulthood, he was able to secure himself many means of income, most iconically a plumber, but also the likes of a doctor, a carpenter, a toy company owner, a builder, etc. Despite all this, he is an adventurer at heart, and will often do on quests to help the greater good. He has made many allies along the way, but also faced many foes, giving him a diverse range of experience. With over 100 games to his name, it's no wonder he has become synonymous with video games as a whole.
